At St Cuthbert’s Primary School, we understand that music is a powerful, unique form of communication that can change the way pupils feel, think and act. Music is a way of expressing oneself and it can highly influence their personal development. It brings together intellect and feeling and enables personal expression, reflection and emotional development. We strive to develop pupils’ ability to listen and appreciate a wide variety of music and make judgements about musical quality. With our music curriculum children can develop their musical passions, which we hope they will continue to practice and develop throughout school and into adulthood.
