headteacher's welcome
MRS C Meldrum
Welcome to St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School, Walbottle...
We extend a very warm welcome to all children, parents, carers and friends of our school community. St Cuthbert’s is a joyful, nurturing and inclusive school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential. We are proud to serve our families, providing a place where children grow not only in knowledge and skills, but also in confidence, character and faith.
At the heart of our school are the values of love, respect, forgiveness and self-worth. Guided by the teachings of Jesus, these values shape our daily lives and relationships, helping us to create a community where everyone feels welcomed, supported and valued. We encourage our children to celebrate their own unique gifts, care for others, and recognise the dignity and worth of every person. We believe that children thrive when they feel safe and inspired.
Working in close partnership with families, our dedicated staff provide a rich and ambitious curriculum within a warm and welcoming environment, where every child can flourish academically, socially and spiritually. We encourage our children to recognise their unique gifts, care for others and make a positive difference in the world. Our mission is to grow together as one family in faith and love, supporting one another to lead happy, meaningful and fulfilling lives.
We are incredibly proud of our children and all that they achieve, and we strive to ensure that every child leaves St Cuthbert’s equipped with the knowledge, skills and values they need to flourish and thrive in the future.

Our MISSION & VALUES
Love to learn, learn to love
Our School Mission Statement:
At St Cuthbert’s we live and learn in faith and love, through Jesus’ teachings. Our school is a place where we can grow as a family, helping each other to lead full and happy lives.
Our Values
Our Vision for St Cuthbert’s is to provide a learning environment that is based upon the Gospel Values of love, respect, forgiveness and self-worth. By walking in the footsteps of Jesus, every child irrespective of beliefs, race or culture will be treated as the unique person they are and through respect and nurturing will gain a love of learning in order to reach his or her full potential.
St Cuthbert’s staff encourage our pupils to excel in all areas of the curriculum; our aim is to provide a challenging and enriching curriculum which will equip our pupils to achieve high academic standards and develop their confidence to move to the next stage in their learning.
Outstanding behaviour and self-discipline must underpin our work, supported by our parents, parish and the wider community.
We aim to ensure a welcoming friendly approach where families and visitors feel comfortable and are positively encouraged to participate in the life of the school.
